Terms of Service
Last updated November 4, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and 13970671 Canada Inc. (“Divv”, “we”), which runs divv.ca from Saint-Lin-Laurentides, Quebec, Canada. By using the website, the API or the integrations (together, the “Service”), you accept them. If you use the Service for an organization, you accept them for that organization.
1. The Service
Divv provides dividend and market data, screeners and tools through divv.ca, a REST API and spreadsheet integrations. We may change or improve features over time.
2. Not investment advice
Divv provides data and tools for information only. Nothing on Divv is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. You are responsible for your own investment decisions; consider speaking with a qualified advisor.
3. Data accuracy
Market data comes from third-party sources and can be delayed, incomplete or wrong. We work to keep it accurate but do not guarantee it. Check important figures against official sources before relying on them.
4. Your account
You sign in with a Google account and are responsible for activity under your Divv account. Tell us right away at security@divv.ca if you think someone else has used it.
5. API keys and acceptable use
- Keep your API keys secret. You are responsible for calls made with them.
- Stay within your plan’s monthly quota and rate limits, and do not try to get around them.
- You may use the data in your own applications, spreadsheets and analysis. You may not resell or redistribute it in bulk, or use it to build a competing data service.
- Do not disrupt the Service, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or use it unlawfully.
We may suspend keys or accounts that break these rules, and will tell you why when we can.
6. Plans, billing and cancellation
- The free plan costs nothing. Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, at the prices on the pricing page, in US dollars plus any applicable taxes. Stripe processes payments.
- Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
- When you change plans, the price difference for the rest of the period is prorated and added to, or credited on, your next invoice.
- You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Except where the law requires otherwise, we do not refund partial periods.
- If a payment fails, your account uses the free plan until the payment goes through.
- We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before a price change applies to you.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the Service available but do not promise uninterrupted access, except under a separate written service-level agreement.
8. Intellectual property
Divv and its licensors own the Service, including its software, design and compiled data. Within your plan, we give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service and its data as these terms allow. Anything you bring to the Service stays yours.
9. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if the law requires it. Sections 2, 3, 8, 10, 11 and 12 survive the end of this agreement.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, and Divv is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including trading or investment losses, lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid Divv in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws, including Quebec’s Consumer Protection Act, that cannot be waived.
11. Indemnity
If you use the Service for a business, that business agrees to cover Divv’s reasonable costs from claims caused by its breach of these terms or its misuse of the Service.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Quebec have jurisdiction, unless consumer protection law gives you the right to sue where you live.
13. Changes to these terms
We will post changes here and update the date above. For significant changes, we will email account holders at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept them.
